Coronavirus outbreak: New Brunswick passes memo to set up child care centres for essential workers

New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs said on Friday that the House sat on Friday morning in the legislative assembly to make the changes to the Emergency Measures Act announced on Thursday, which allows restaurants to sell liquor with take-out meals and allow gardening and agriculture stores to be open. A memo was passed to allow the government quickly and efficiently set up child care centres for essential workers, if needed. Also, another memo was made to the Employment Standards Act to address issues of leaves and absences due to the state of emergency currently in place.
