Coronavirus outbreak: Scheer says delay returning to parliament due to ‘weaknesses’ in wage subsidy bill

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer said on Saturday that the reason his party delayed MP’s return to Parliament was because when they received the wage subsidy bill, they saw “weaknesses” according to Scheer. He said once they determined the bill had been improved, they indicated they would ensure Saturday’s session in the House of Commons would move forward productively. He added they hope the government will address ideas they proposed, such as rebating the GST and increasing limits for charitable organizations.
