Toronto Mayor John Tory during Wednesday’s COVID-19 briefing said that the Ontario government is providing 200,000 replacement surgical masks. The city was forced to remove 200,000 surgical masks from service on Tuesday due to the discovery that they failed to meet the required quality standards. Tory thanked Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the Ontario Public Service team for the quick response.
