Coronavirus outbreak: More difficult to access supplies compared to SARS, H1N1 says Ontario’s top doctor

Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams spoke about the shortage in medical supplies during a daily briefing on the province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic Tuesday, explaining that many countries were caught unprepared given the demand for masks and other supplies around the world. Williams compared the situation to the H1n1 pandemic and the SARS outbreak in Ontario and said in those cases, Ontario was able to more easily access supplies from other countries.
