Coronavirus outbreak: Manitoba invests $1.2 million in expanding shelter capacity

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister announced Friday that Manitoba’s government is putting measures in place through the Manitoba Protection Plan to ensure people who don’t have a stable home will have a place to stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He announced that they’re investing $1.2 million to add and repurpose 140 new shelter beds to support people affected by homelessness.
