Coronavirus outbreak: New York receives federal aid to help fight COVID-19

U.S. federal ambulances and medical aid arrived in New York City on Thursday after the federal U.S. government announced that it was sending aid to New York state amid the spread of the novel coronavirus.
New York City mayor Bill De Blasio thanked healthcare workers who came from different parts of the U.S. to help in hospitals.
New York has been one of the hardest hit states in the U.S. with over 80,000 cases and nearly 2,000 deaths due to COVID-19.
