They’re a key tool in the fight against coronavirus, but there’s a limited supply of hospital ventilators, and a huge, world-wide spike in demand for the devices.
So now a team of doctors, medical students and engineers based at UBC have come together to design and build a prototype of a simple, effective and cheaply-produced ventilator to help save lives. Linda Aylesworth reports.
