Freeland: ‘We get our groceries thanks to truckers who drive back and forth across that border’

Canada’s deputy prime minister, Chrystia Freeland, said at a press conference in Ottawa on March 17 that the Canada-U.S. border is very important for Canada, as 200,000 people cross that border daily. Freeland says our groceries, urgent medical supplies and essential workers go back and forth across the border and that’s why officials feel it needs to remain open.
