One man was taken to hospital following a single vehicle crash in Peterborough's west end on Wednesday morning. Emergency crews were called just before 4:30 a.m. to the intersection of Brealey Drive and Lansdowne Street west where they found a car that had struck a light pole, The driver was the only occupant in the car and was taken to hospital by paramedics for further treatment for minor injuries, police said. Police say the crash happened when a driver swerved to miss an animal. No charges have been laid.
