Ministers ‘remain optimistic’ as talks with Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs enter third day

When speaking to reporters in Smithers, B.C. on Saturday, federal Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Carolyn Bennett and B.C. Indigenous Relations Minister Scott Fraser said they “remain optimistic” that they will be able to find a conclusion “that’s really good for the Wet’suwet’en nation,” as talks with hereditary chiefs over the Coastal GasLink pipeline dispute enter their third day.
