COVID-19: Pompeo says U.S. offered to help Iran with virus response, concerned about Tehran’s willingness to share information

In a hearing with the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the country has offered to help with the COVID-19 response in Iran, saying that Iran’s healthcare infrastructure is “not robust” and that he is “very concerned” that Tehran is not sharing critical information on the outbreak within the country.
