During a hearing with the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday, CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield said that their response to the COVID-19 outbreak involves “multi-layered, aggressive containment” and public health interventions including targeted travel restrictions, quarantine, and working with the World Health Organization to combat the virus internationally.
