Railway blockades bringing Canada’s economy ‘to its knees’ says Scheer

During Monday’s Question Period in the House of Commons, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer said that the illegal railway blockades set up by demonstrators across the country as protest in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en, who oppose the construction of the Coastal GasLink pipeline in their traditional territory, are a “clear playbook for radical activists to follow” because Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in his view, won’t do anything to clear the blockades as “the economy is brought down to its knees.”
