New York City District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. spoke on Monday following the sentencing of Harvey Weinstein, who was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault following a lengthy trial. Vance said the women who spoke up against Weinstein “pulled the justice system into the 21st century by declaring that rape is rape, and sexual assault is sexual assault no matter what.”
