New Brunswick premier explains reversal on plans to close ERs

New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs explained Monday why his government had decided to reverse its plans to reform the health-care system, which would have included the closure of emergency rooms, saying in speaking with communities there was not enough support especially in rural areas. Higgs said they would hold a health care summit in June to get more input in improving the system, and that he would visit the communities in April and May that would have been impacted by the reforms.
