Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller spoke with The West Block’s Mercedes Stephenson on Sunday about his meeting with members of the Mohawk First Nation on Saturday about their protest in Tyendinaga in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en First Nation in B.C. and said what was clear was it needs to be solved in the “right way.” He said he recognized there are concerns by Canadians about the various rail blockades across Canada disrupting the economy and causing fuel shortages, but such a fluid situation means being engaged to resolve it “in a peaceful way.”
