Freeland says Canadian premiers played instrumental role in new NAFTA negotiations

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said on Friday that Canadian premiers have played a “pivotal” role in the negotiations of the new NAFTA, as have U.S. governors. Freeland met earlier with U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer in Washington, D.C., along with Premiers Doug Ford, Scott Moe, Jason Kenney, Blaine Higgs and François Legault.
