During a briefing on Tuesday, officials from Global Affairs Canada commented on the repatriation of Canadians detained in China amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Assistant Deputy Minister, Consular, Emergency Management and Security of the Department of Foreign Affairs Heather Jeffrey said that “actions are being taken to assist the impacted Canadians in Wuhan” as Canada has chartered a flight to bring them back.
