New York City health commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot said on Saturday that the person with the first possible case of coronavirus had voluntarily come forward immediately after getting tests to rule out common viruses, and said the person was stable and "doing well." She added that people should know the facts, seek care early, and to not let stigma being spread online about the virus keep them from seeing a medical professional if they have concerns.
