Kobe Bryant death: Company whose helicopter crashed not certified to fly in fog

The company whose helicopter crashed on Sunday, killing Kobe Bryant, his daughter and seven others, did not have the proper certification for the pilot to fly on instruments that help determine things such as altitude and speed when visibility is low. The pilot was licenced to use the instruments, but due to lack of company certification was required to fly only when he could navigate visually.
