Impeachment manager and House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff said on Wednesday, during his opening remarks at the Senate impeachment trial of U.S. President Donald Trump, that the president’s “misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box,” arguing that Trump had used his office to improperly influence an election.
