On Tuesday, Puerto Rico Gov. Wanda Vazquez declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard after a series of earthquakes, including one of magnitude 6.4, struck the Caribbean island. Homes and buildings collapsed, and power outages occurred across the island, authorities said. At least one person was killed.
