Australian PM defends handling of bushfires, announces recovery agency

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Sunday defended his government’s handling of the bushfires gripping the country on announcing a new recovery agency to aid communities affected by the blazes. The announcement came after New South Wales Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons stated his disappointment about the lack of consultation when Morrison announced the deployment of 3,000 army reservists.
