For the first time, researchers have measured the gap between the world’s climate goals and the projections for fossil fuel production. As Jeff Semple explains, scientists warn the world’s top 10 fossil fuel producing countries including Canada, are on track to extract far more oil, gas and coal than the planet can handle.
