Video shows blue heron being released back into wild after being rescued near Calgary

A great blue heron was released back into the wild after being spotted in early November unable to fly because of clumps of snow and ice that were packed into its feathers. The bird was brought into the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, where it was treated for severe hypothermia. Staff say after a week of warming up, the heron was getting restless and eager to spread its wings.
