In the recent federal election, Canadians re-elected the Liberals as a minority government. Liberals landed a 155 seats in parliament, but only a few of those are from western Canada because the conservatives won over most of the west. Since then the idea of western separation has started popping up all over social media under the hashtag “Wexit”.
