Transport crash closes section of Highway 401

Two transport truck drivers were taken to hospital following a chain-reaction collision on Highway 401 east of Brighton early Friday. The collision happened around 12:345 a.m. in the eastbound lanes in a construction area. Northumberland OPP say one transport rear-ended the other just east of County Road 26. Another transport collided with a transport which had stopped due to the construction. The highway was closed until 7 a.m.
