Cobourg council goes ‘batty’
Description
September 4, 2019
Cobourg town council got an unexpected visitor during its Tuesday meeting when a bat was found in the council chambers at Victoria Hall.
Mayor John Henderson called a brief recess to deal with the matter as he and other councillors attempted to capture the bat.
About 10 minutes later, the bat flew into a committee room and the town clerk quickly closed the doors. Maintenance staff were called to deal with the bat and council resumed.
