Hong Kong's pro-democracy lawmaker of the Pan-democrat and the Civil Human Rights Front members on Aug. 17 said they will not be causing chaos at Sunday's scheduled mass gathering. During the past week, protesters have increasingly directed their frustrations toward police, who have responded with fiercer determination and violence to clear them from the streets and the airport.
