Will charges ever be laid in the Mt. Polley mine disaster?

It’s been 5 years since the tailing pond broke at the Mount Polley mine, near Williams Lake. It is one of the biggest environmental disasters in BC history. No provincial charges were ever laid against Imperial Metals, the company which owns the mine, and now the deadline to file federal charges is also about to expire.
