The toll of record-breaking heat throughout the world

July is on track to be the hottest month on Earth in recorded history. The record-breaking heat is taking a particularly hard toll on the world’s Arctic region. As Dawna Friesen explains, global warming is also being blamed for unprecedented wildfires throughout the world, increasingly high emissions, and the starvation deaths of reindeers.
