On Monday Alykhan Velshi, vice president of corporate affairs at Huawei Canada, told reporters Monday that his company operates in 170 countries around the world as a global corporation amid accusations the company is developing telecom infrastructure in North Korea. In a statement released earlier Huawei denied it had any “business presence” in North Korea.
