Climate change could lead to triple frequency of severe air turbulence

Paul Williams, a U.K.-based atmospheric scientist, says research shows a link between increased “clear air turbulence” like that experienced by passengers onboard Air Canada flight AC33 and climate change. He also says warmer weather could triple this type of turbulence in coming decades.
