Corus employees assist with McHappy Day in Peterborough

It’s a big day of the year for YES – the Youth Emergency Shelter for women and children in Peterborough.

Staff from 101.5 FM The Wolf morning show were on location at a McDonald’s restaurant for McHappy Day on Wednesday morning. The station is part of the Corus Entertainment family which includes Global Peterborough.

Part of the days sales go to a local charity — and for the second-straight year the owners of the Chemong Road franchise chose YES.

Last year McHappy Day raised $30,000 for the shelter on Brock Street.

On Thursday, McDonald’s restaurants in Peterborough, Lindsay, Bancroft and Beaverton raised $27,500 for the YES Shelter, $8,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes, $4,000 for the Children’s Foundation/Highalnd Shores CAS and $8,000 for Grandview Kids Durham
