An illegal gathering of automotive enthusiasts in East Oakland descended into violence on Sunday, April 14, with police reporting shots fired and vehicles set on fire. According to the Oakland Police Department, an AC Transit bus and a commercial truck were set on fire after the crowd at the illegal “sideshow” event swelled to around 1,000.
