Parents gathered outside Saturday as Lisa MacLeod, the provincial Minister of Children, Community and Social Services, spoke at private meeting with local conservatives Saturday morning.
She was greeted by a noisy group of demonstrators protesting the government’s changes to autism care.
Mcleod has said the changes will help clear a waiting list of 23,000 children waiting for care.
But some parents including Kristen Locklin say the cancellation of the intensive intervention therapy program will mean hardship for the families of children that need it.
