Quebec government tables controversial religious symbols bill

The CAQ government has tabled its secularism bill, which would prevent public sector employees in positions of authority from wearing religious symbols in the workplace. As Global’s Raquel Fletcher explains, the province invoked the notwithstanding clause to block any legal challenges over rights violations.
