2019 Teddy Awards: Trudeau wins big for his India trip that cost taxpayers $1.6 million

The Teddy Awards, handed out by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, is an annual event dedicated to the worst examples of government waste of taxpayers dollars. This year’s federal winner was Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his 8-day family trip to India that soaked up $1.6 million dollars of taxpayers’ money, including a $17,000 bill to have a Vancouver-based celebrity chef to prepare his family’s Indian meals.
