For just the second time since the global AIDS epidemic began, a patient appears to have been cured of infection from HIV–or at least put into long-term remission. Researchers say it confirms a cure for HIV is possible, but the procedure to get there isn’t simple. As Redmond Shannon reports, both cases involved the patients being treated for cancer.
