The Carl Oake Rotary Swimathon started in 1986 and is showing no signs of letting up.
The 33rd annual event in support of Easter Seals and other community programs saw swimmers dive into the pool at the Peterborough YMCA early Friday.
The swimathon has raised $1.2 million over the years and is aiming to raise $50,000 this year.
