Remains of a vessel thought to be a World War Two German submarine have been discovered off Istanbul’s coastal district of Sile, Turkey’s state-run English language broadcaster TRT WORLD reported. The submarine is believed to be a U-23, one of the six compact U-boats of Nazi Germany’s Kriegsmarine dubbed “Hitler’s lost fleet”.
