Carlos Vecchio, the U.S. representative for Venezuela’s interim president Juan Guaido, told reporters outside the White House on Tuesday that he had met with Vice President Mike Pence for about an hour to thank him and the Trump administration for recognizing Guaido as interim president and supporting “our fight to restore democracy in Venezuela.”
