Beginning April 1, midwives in Alberta will be able to perform more tasks including inducing labour, giving vaccines, inserting IUDs and prescribing medications. Health Minister Sarah Hoffman, midwife Heather Martin, patient Salima Versi and her child joined Global News Morning to talk about how the changes will provide more options for pregnant women in Alberta.
