First 24-hour winter shelter now operating in West Kelowna
Description
December 26, 2018
With arrival of winter weather in the Okanagan, it can be a long, cold day for some of the homeless. But not in West Kelowna. That's because the city's first 24-hour shelter opened its doors during the christmas break, providing a roof over the heads of dozens who have no place to call home. As Kelly Hayes reports, response has been slow but is expected to pick up as the weather worsens.
