Nova Scotia says province’s teachers to undergo mandatory criminal record check every 5 years

Wed, Dec 12: Nova Scotia’s Minister of Education says he plans to force the province’s teachers to undergo mandatory criminal record check every five years and that they must proactively disclose whether they’re facing any criminal investigations. As Elizabeth McSheffrey, it comes in the wake of an alleged assault involving a teacher.
