Voter turnout expected to surge in U.S. midterm elections
History has often been unkind to the party of a sitting president in America’s midterm elections. It’s the first opportunity voters have to register dissatisficaton with the direction of their country. Sometimes, the party in power loses ground over complacency. But not this time. President Donald Trump did all he could to motivate his supporters to match the enthusiasm of the Democrats. Eric Sorensen reports.
