Last weekend’s Stand With Tim’ fundraiser for the homeless in Peterborough has set a new record.
Teaming up with Peterborough Cares, Deputy Police Chief Tim Farquharson spent from 4 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday on the corner of George and King streets. They collected donations of food, clothing and cash for Y.E.S. Youth and Family Shelter, Brock Mission and The Warming Room. This year’s event raised more than $18,000 – up from $10,000 last year.
