If you were looking for your “Starbucks fix” Monday afternoon you were out of luck as the coffee chain closed it’s doors across the country for sensitivity training. All 1100 locations in Canada were closed for a few hours at 3pm local time for staff learning sessions on “race, bias and inclusion”. This comes after two black men were arrested in a Philadelphia store. The coffee giant says the training is to teach employees to help create more inclusive stores.
