We now know what that mysterious substance is that has been sitting in Little Lake since Wednesday. It's a petroleum product from a broken fire suppression line in one of the General Electric buildings on Park Street. According to the Ministry of Environment, the product flowed from GE's storm sewer system into the storm sewers, which eventually leads to Little Lake. Lindsay Biscaia has more from the marina.
