The Florida State Senate voted 20 to 18 to pass the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act Monday evening. The bill, which takes its name from the Parkland school shooting that occurred in February that left 17 dead, would raise the legal age of purchasing a gun from 18 to 21 and ban the sale of bump fire stocks, among other policies.
